Grant R. Zehnder is an associate attorney at John M. O'Brien & Associates whose practice focuses on personal injury and labor and employment matters. Mr. Zehnder graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 2006, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science and Minor in Psychology. Shortly thereafter, he attended law school at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree with Great Distinction and was a member of the McGeorge Law Review. As a result of Mr. Zehnder's outstanding scholastic achievement, he was also selected to the McGeorge chapters of the Traynor Honor Society and the Order of the Coif (Top 10%).

Outside of work Mr. Zehnder enjoys an active lifestyle. He relishes his time in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and makes an effort to ski and snowboard in Lake Tahoe during the winter months. When the weather permits, he enjoys camping, paddleboarding and playing golf. Admired literary figures include: Kurt Vonnegut, George Orwell and Jack London. Favorite musicians include: Rolling Stones, Black Keys, Jack White and too many more to name.

Before joining John M. O'Brien & Associates, Mr. Zehnder spent three years as a defense-side civil litigator with a practice focusing primarily on personal injury, labor, and employment matters. Most recently, Mr. Zehnder served as an associate attorney at Cook Brown, LLP in Sacramento, where he represented employers facing a wide array of labor and employment claims. Prior to his labor and employment work, Mr. Zehnder was an associate attorney at a local insurance defense firm, practicing in the areas of personal injury, products liability and premises liability.

Before his acceptance to the bar, Mr. Zehnder worked as a volunteer at the Sacramento County Public Defender's Office, where he gained valuable courtroom experience. While in law school, Mr. Zehnder served as a Law Clerk for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) and as a Certified-Student-Attorney for the Federal Defenders Office in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
